Wash Post: Straight Couples Can Still Marry
From the Wash Post this morning, a heart-warming story of how just days after the SCOTUS destroyed the institution of marriage forever, a young, mixed-sex Alabama couple married each other in a traditional one-man, one-woman religious marriage ceremony.
The happily married groom went on to say this about how teh gay nearly ruined his chances for hetero-married bliss:
“People think that I don’t want people to be together because they’re homosexuals, and that’s not it,” Randy had said. “People have a right to be together — that’s fine. I just believe marriage is religious, and I want to keep my religious things sacred. I don’t know if that’s mean or not, but I don’t want my religious beliefs to be diluted — not by heterosexuals or homosexuals. I don’t know, is that controversial?”
From the comments:
They seem to be fine couple and I wish them every happiness. What I will never understand, (perhaps since no one can give a clear, logical explanation), is how gay marriage would have any impact on their union. It certainly doesn’t affect my marriage of 33 years.
Obviously this commenter hates Amercia.
Anyway, thanks to the Wash Post putting it on their front page, we learn about how, despite the ending of traditional, one-man, one-woman marriage by an atheistic, Sharia-law adherering SCOTUS, the fight to protect True Marriage and Real Families fights on. //
